Our Story

Angelo, originally from the picturesque region of Calabria in southern Italy, has always had a deep love for cooking, rooted in family tradition and a passion for authentic Italian cuisine. 

In 1992, he brought his culinary vision to life in Reading by opening Toppo Gigio's, followed shortly after by Dolce Vita in 1993. His journey continued with the opening of Ruchetta in Wokingham in 2003, where he has been proudly serving fresh, seasonal Italian dishes ever since.

Now, Angelo is excited to return to the heart of Reading with his latest venture, Angelo's, bringing his signature warmth, hospitality, and love for true Italian cooking back to the town centre.
